Course Navette: understand the test before starting
The test consists of repeatedly covering a measured 20 metre straight in time with increasingly frequent audio signals. Record your last completed shuttle to follow personal progress under comparable conditions.
Track, preparation and sound
Measure and mark both ends, use a safe clear surface, prepare appropriate clothing and footwear, and warm up beforehand. Test the volume before starting. Do not use GPS to count shuttles.
Counting and stopping
Only a completed shuttle counts. Mark a miss when you do not reach the line: two consecutive misses stop this variant. You can stop voluntarily. Stop for pain, dizziness or feeling unwell and consult a professional; do not perform a maximum test if it is inappropriate for your situation.
Protocol and interpretation limits
The technical SomosTrail variant starts at 8.5 km/h and increases by 0.5 km/h per stage. Its exact table is versioned and awaits professional review. The supplied reference differs between text and table: do not mix variants when comparing.
Level, shuttles and conditions are the main reference. This does not diagnose health, estimate VO₂ max here or guarantee trail results. Separate manual and guided records and compare the same version and conditions; avoid repeating maximum efforts without appropriate recovery and guidance.
